ABOUT

Fran Harper began her career working as a photographic assistant to some of the world’s best Fashion and Advertising photographers, on campaigns for Benson & Hedges Silk Cut, Stella Artois and with French Vogue before setting up her own studio and dark room in London.

Over the years her work and subjects have been diverse from portraiture, children’s fashion to still-life and more recently to plant portraiture and garden photography and has been published in magazines, books and art for interiors. Her portrait of painter Emily Patrick was shown at the Angela Flowers Gallery, London.

Passionate about photography, Fran travels extensively especially in India where she actively supports the education of children living in the slums.

Currently working on two books with garden columnist Francine Raymond, Fran has recently been shortlisted for the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the year Award.
